Meet SATRA at the Polymers in Footwear show
The programme will be of interest to many in the footwear supply chain.
SATRA will be exhibiting at this year’s Polymers in Footwear show at the Portland Marriott in Portland, Oregon, USA on 7th to 8th April. This event is aimed at footwear industry professionals and personnel in their supply chain, including polymer and additive suppliers, compounders, processing machinery experts, shoe designers, manufacturers, end users, retailers, industry associations and academic institutions.
The programme of seminars held during the two days of the show will include presentations on such issues as ‘sustainable design and production methods’, ‘bio-based polymers and circular solutions for footwear applications’, ‘test methods’, ‘simulation technologies’, ‘three-dimensional bonding’, ‘3D printing’ and ‘automation’. SATRA footwear expert Mike George will be speaking on Wednesday 8th April at 11.20 on ‘What makes a good shoe sole?’ in which he will explain performance requirements and test methods.
The Polymers in Footwear show is an opportunity for industry delegates to obtain an up-to-date view of market trends, learn new material and technology developments for footwear applications, discuss key challenges with innovators in the industry and connect with footwear experts of forward-thinking companies from around the world.
SATRA’s North American business manager James Corton is looking forward to meeting members of the footwear industry to explain how SATRA can be of assistance by testing the wide range of existing and emerging materials, as well as manufacturing technologies used in the production of all types of footwear.
