Footwear training from SATRA

An overview of the many courses and workshops organised by SATRA and presented by its experts.

SATRA provides world-leading courses and seminars covering a wide range of technical subjects for modern footwear production. SATRA currently runs a number of ‘set’ courses, such as:

• SATRA Accredited Footwear Technologist (SAFT)
• basic shoemaking step-by-step
• fitting
• footwear open day
• REACH
• solings/adhesives

In addition to the events listed on www.satra.com/events, to which new dates are regularly added, members have the opportunity to request courses tailored to their own needs – either based on our set courses or on special subjects. The subjects covered include ‘safety critical testing’, ‘consumer complaints’, ‘risk assessment’, ‘safety critical testing of fashion footwear’, ‘footwear fitting and comfort’ and ‘industrial footwear’.

While it is preferable that these courses are held at SATRA to ensure access to our facilities and experts, they could also be held on a member’s premises.
