Assessing footwear in line with EN 71 toy safety standards

Revealing how these standards apply to certain styles of children’s footwear and how such products are tested.

While footwear does not fall within the definition of a toy (with many children's products also not meeting this definition), the safety requirements for toys detailed in the EN 71 series of standards are often seen as good practice, as they take into account the instinctive behaviour of children.
