DESMA House Fair postponed
The DESMA House Fair allows delegates to learn about the machinery producer’s latest innovations and technologies.
Every two years, more than 750 representatives from companies in the international footwear industry normally travel to the German town of Achim to attend the DESMA House Fair, where they learn about the machinery producer’s latest innovations and technologies. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is forcing a break with that longstanding tradition – in view of the current restrictions to combat the pandemic, the event that was planned for September has been postponed until 2021.
“We did not reach this decision lightly,” said a DESMA spokesperson, “because we know from countless discussions with our customers and partners that our House Fair is an important date in their diaries when planning the year ahead. The present regulations regarding social distancing and the obligation to wear a face mask mean that it would not be possible for us to host a House Fair in the usual way. The travel restrictions that still apply in some countries were another reason for us to postpone the DESMA house fair until the coming year.”
DESMA has announced that the 2021 House Fair will be a very special event as it coincides with the company’s 75th anniversary. Further details of the scheduled dates will be forthcoming.
