Backpart moulding in footwear production

Explaining the importance of backpart moulding and the different methods which are available.

The transformation of a flat upper into the required final three-dimensional shape of the finished footwear generally takes place in a number of stages. Commonly, the backpart of the upper is the first to be shaped – an operation termed 'backpart moulding'.
