Rhenoflex introduces sustainability rating
Reinforcement materials producer Rhenoflex has introduced a symbol system to make the Germany-based company’s sustainability concept easier to understand for specifiers and purchasers. Called ‘ECO-Level’, the system rates each of the company’s products with one, two or three leaves, within the categories of ‘polymer’ (biopolymer), ‘filler’ (renewable raw materials) and ‘recycling’ (recycled raw materials). The award of one leaf indicates a product sustainability of 0 to 30 per cent, two leaves represent 30 to 60 per cent and three leaves indicate 60 to 100 per cent.
“We are pleased to use this classification to contribute to more transparency in the use of materials for our customers and that we could make the information about our sustainable processes even more accessible,” said chief technology officer Gunter Scharfenberger.
