Finishing and shoe rooming processes

Describing the various operations carried out in the finishing room.

Once footwear leaves the factory, it should look at its best for presentation to the customer. The shoe room's role is to ensure that footwear has the best possible appearance at the point of sale, which may involve repairing minor damage to the footwear caused during manufacture, and removing general soiling, stitchmarks, wrinkles and loose threads.
