Skechers announces new golf footwear collection
The newly-released Skechers ‘GO GOLF’ range – which includes styles for men and women – has been reportedly developed in line with feedback and insight from a number of tour professionals, including Brooke Henderson, Matt Kuchar and Colin Montgomerie. Each of the new styles was designed to include the company’s ‘ULTRA GO’ and ‘ULTRA FLIGHT’ midsole technologies, a lightweight, responsive cushioning that was first developed for Skechers’ ‘GO RUN’ collection.
The company’s ‘Arch Fit’ technology is said to be an insole system developed over two decades of research. First launched in Skechers sport and performance walking styles, the Arch Fit insole is marketed as moulding to the wearer’s foot, while increasing weight dispersion and reducing shock. The stated purpose of this technology is to provide enhanced arch support for long-lasting comfort on the golf course.
A variety of features are used on various models within the new GO GOLF’ range. These include water-repellent uppers, performance outsoles for enhanced traction, stability and durability, ‘sporty’ lace-ups, hook-and-loop closure systems, water-resistant membranes, dynamic diamond traction plates, replaceable soft spikes, cushioned insoles, breathable textile uppers, spikeless durable TPU outsoles and pull tabs for easy donning and removal.
