DESMA House Fair moved to 2022

Footwear machinery producer DESMA has announced that its forthcoming House Fair, which had been scheduled for the third quarter of the year, has been postponed until 2022 because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

“We sincerely regret this decision, because right up until now we had still hoped to welcome you all to Achim again this September,” the German company said in a recent email, which continued: “however, the pandemic currently prevents any gathering of that kind and on that scale. As we attach great importance to your safety, we have decided to postpone the DESMA house fair until 2022.”

According to DESMA, the outlook for the coming year is promising, with the economy recovering, consumer spending increasing and the effects of the global vaccination campaigns expected to soon become apparent. However, until then, shoemakers hoping to visit the regular event are being asked by the company to show ‘patience and perseverance’.
