ISA TanTec set to expand newest tannery

Macau-headquartered leather manufacturer ISA TanTec has announced an expansion programme for its TransAsia TanTec plant in Vietnam, where production began in March 2020. This site currently has some 24,600 square metres of production space on around 61,500 square metres of land and 210 staff are employed there. The project is planned to boost TransAsia TanTec’s production capacity to five million square feet of leather per month, with the construction work completed in the first quarter of 2022. According to ISA TanTec, increasing the size of this site is necessary as preparation for what it expects to be a strong 2022. The company currently operates four tanneries – two in Vietnam and one each in China and the USA, and also operates a showroom in the Chinese city of Dongguan.
