The Tapestry Foundation – a programme within the Tapestry Group – is providing a USD 3 million (GBP 2.4 million) grant to the Worldwide Fund for Nature to assist in the traceability of Brazil’s leather value chain. To help combat Amazon deforestation, the Foundation aims to accelerate the development of a standard to certify deforestation and conversion-free leather and help local communities facing threats from climate change and tree clearance.
