Spanish footwear exports show growth in value
The value of post-pandemic footwear exports is increasing.

Spain’s footwear industry body Federación de Industrias del Calzado Español (FICE) has reported growth in value compared to pre-pandemic levels for exports during the first five months of this year.
Shipments of Spanish footwear between January and May 2022 reached a value of almost EUR 1.25 billion (USD 1.25 billion/GBP 1.08) – an increase of 19.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2021 and 3.3 per cent higher than the figure for the corresponding months in 2019.
When compared to pre-pandemic exports, Spanish footwear sales in the key markets of France, Italy and Germany saw growths in value of 7.2 per cent, 8.4 per cent and 9.1 per cent respectively.
