MICAM draws strong post-COVID attendance

Attendance for the latest edition was 20 per cent higher than for the March 2022 show.

The MICAM footwear show continued its post-pandemic recovery, with 35,470 industry professionals attending this event and a group of other fairs held together in the Italian fashion capital of Milan.

MICAM Milano, leather goods and fashion accessories showcase Mipel, TheOneMilano – featuring ‘Haute-à-Porter’ from high-end fashion designers – and HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, joined forces under the hashtag ‘#finallytogether’ to welcome buyers from all over the world to Fieramilano-Rho. The number of delegates for this latest edition represented a 20 per cent boost over the attendance figure for the most recent March 2022 show.

A notable number of European visitors arrived from France, Germany and Spain. Buyers also attended from the US and Canada, and Japanese delegates were reportedly back in large numbers. A programme of workshops and events provided opportunities for buyers to assess new developments on the market and learn more about issues of current relevance to the fashion industry.
