DSW offering US shoe repair service

The new repair service is available in all DSW stores across the USA.

Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) – Designer Brands’ flagship retail arm founded in 1991 – has joined forces with Cobblers Direct to offer a repair service in all 500-plus DSW stores across the USA. Cobblers Direct is an online spin-off from The Shoe Hospitals, which has been renovating footwear, boots, belts, handbags and other leather products since 1906.

“We want customers to enjoy and get the most out of their purchases, so if they ever need a product repair, DSW’s partnership with Cobblers Direct ensures convenient access to highly experienced and skilled repair services,” said DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse president, Doug Howe.

To use this new shoe repair programme, customers scan a QR code at their local DSW store, place an order on a smart device, and then hand in their items at the counter. These will then be sent to the Cobblers Direct facility in Austin, Texas. Cobblers Direct is said to engage closely with customers to understand their repair needs and, once the restoration work is complete, the goods are returned for collection from same DSW location.
