Leather fair relaunching in 2023
Visitors attend the show to learn about the latest innovations in the use of leather.
The India International Leather Fair (IILF) is to open its doors in Chennai for a three-day event starting on February 1st 2023. This will be the first time it has been held since 2020, as the global COVID-19 pandemic prevented such large shows from being arranged during the past two years. According to the India Trade Promotion Organisation, more than 450 companies showcased their products and services at the most recent exhibition, and this number included 114 from outside India. That event also attracted 250 international buyers and 8,500 visitors from the domestic leather industry.
Describing IILF as a ‘vivid presentation of the leather industry’, the organisers intend to display the entire range of products relating to the leather industry. These are said to span raw material to finished leather and footwear, as well as featuring uppers, soles, heels, counters, lasts, leather garments, fashion accessories, leathergoods, machinery and chemicals.
