VF Corporation plans to expand EMEA site
A planned development of VF Corporation’s Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters would see a new facility being built on its existing campus in Stabio, Switzerland. the company moved from the Lugano region to Stabio in 2013 with about 300 employees working in one building, and the site has since continued to expand. The Stabio campus currently consists of four buildings offering 20,000 square metres of space, in which more than 1,100 members of staff work.
According to president of VF EMEA, APAC and emerging brands, Martino Scabbia Guerrini, double-digit growth in the region over the past 18 months and its employee headcount required this expansion. The new building, which is expected to be completed in two years’ time, is to be a ‘sustainable’ concept in line with the company’s environmental goals. VF has also signed a deal to sell the main building to a real estate group and lease it back on a 15-year term, while extending a lease on a neighbouring facility.
