Positive results from Vietnam exhibition
Considerable interest was shown in SATRA’s products and services during the three days of the exhibition.
SATRA’s presence at the recent 23rd International Shoes and Leather Exhibition Vietnam held in Ho Chi Minh City, proved very successful, with considerable interest being shown in the organisation’s products and services. The SATRA stand at the three-day exhibition was shared with Khoi Toan – SATRA’s Vietnam-based agent for test equipment and services, and the SATRA team of Michael Bodsworth, Simon Courtney, Scott Jarvis, Vivien Hsieh, Anthony Mak and Ken Li met delegates from many member and non-member companies, mainly representing manufacturers and brand owners.
Visitors to the SATRA stand particularly asked about test methods, testing equipment, leather grading training and other training packages. The SATRA team demonstrated the use of the ‘Endofoot’ test machine and the ‘VisionStitch’ sewn product efficiency system, and also explained the value of the SATRA Accredited Footwear Technologist (SAFT) and Footwear Foundations training courses. As might be expected, the majority of industry visitors to the event attended from within Vietnam, although there was also a sizeable number of delegates who travelled in from other countries in the region.
“It was a busy and lively event,” said SATRA divisional manager, Simon Courtney. “We enjoyed many good discussions with visitors to our stand and there is a lot of interest to follow up.”
