Growth reported in French footwear exports
The main export markets for French footwear producers in 2022 were announced as Italy, the USA and Germany.

The Conseil National du Cuir – the body representing producers and users of leather in France – has reported that French companies exported 135 million pairs of shoes and boots in 2022, compared to the 120 million pairs sold in foreign markets during 2021. Last year’s exports generated a little over EUR 5 billion – a growth over the 2021 figure of just under EUR 4 billion. The country’s primary export markets were Italy, the USA and Germany.
French footwear exports registered during 2022 totalled 494.7 million pairs worth EUR 8.3 billion, compared to the 2021 importation of 429.5 million pairs valued at EUR 6.7 billion.
