An introduction to SATRA test equipment

SATRA test equipment is designed alongside the development of relevant test methods to ensure full compliance. With decades of experience and expertise, SATRA can offer test machines that meets the highest standards of performance and accuracy.

All SATRA test machines benefit from SATRA technical expertise all the way through from concept to production and the equipment is trialled first in our own laboratories. We continue to research and develop a range of test approaches, test methods and test equipment, as well as developing new machines which are able to meet customer-specific assessment requirements.

SATRA test machines are built in the United Kingdom in our Century House engineering facility – which was opened close to the Kettering headquarters in 2019 – and they are distributed globally to a wide range of industry sectors including footwear, leather, PPE, automotive, furniture and flooring, in addition to test laboratories and research institutes. We also offer to set up, equip and audit our clients’ own in-house test laboratories under the SATRA Laboratory Accreditation programme.

Designed for a wide range of test procedures

SATRA test equipment is available to carry out not only our own test methods, but also a wide range of international and national assessments, in addition to many companies’ in-house test methods. Whatever the testing need – whether compliance testing, quality control testing, product development or new product validation testing – SATRA is well placed to provide the advice, equipment and associated support needed to achieve meaningful test results. For example, Century House offers laboratory managers in any country video conference access for remote maintenance, training, calibration guidance and problem solving for specific test equipment and laboratory set-ups.
