Coats threads receive cradle-to-cradle certificates

The awards followed a stringent assessment to identify items that are safe and circular.

Threads and structural components manufacturer Coats Group has received ‘Cradle to Cradle Certified Material Health Certificates’ for its eco-friendly sewing thread solutions at gold, platinum and bronze levels.

These awards were made as part of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute’s ‘Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Programme’, which is said to make a stringent assessment to identify items that are safe, circular and ‘made to enable a healthy, equitable and sustainable future’.

According to Coats Group Apparel Division chief executive Adrian Elliott, this achievement highlights the company’s commitment to the development of safe, circular and sustainable products. “We are committed to leading towards a sustainable future with dedication and innovation by producing products that are safe both chemically and environmentally,” he added.
