Successful conclusion to Milan shows
The February 2024 edition of MICAM featured designs for the Autumn/Winter 2024/25 seasons.
Four events dedicated to footwear, fashion and accessories recently took place simultaneously in Milan’s Fieramilano (Rho) centre to showcase trends for the coming seasons. According to the exhibition organisers, the closing attendance figure for the ‘MICAM’, ‘MIPEL’, ‘The One Milano’ and ‘Milano Fashion & Jewels’ shows reflects ‘a positive trend and a tangible sign of stability in a difficult economic moment’, thanks in large way to trade visitors arriving from abroad.
A total of 40,821 trade visitors passed through the doors of the exhibition halls during the four days of the shows, 45 per cent of whom came from around 150 foreign countries. Delegates from France, Germany, Spain and Greece were particularly well represented, and most non-EU visitors were from Japan, China, Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom.
Training workshops and educational and informative sessions were organised, which in many cases involved young people who represent the future of the industry. The next editions of MICAM and the other shows take place in the same venue on 15th to 18th September 2024, when SS25 styles will be displayed.
