Decathlon invests in textile recycling
The company believes it has a responsibility to meet the challenge of textile waste.

French retailer Decathlon has invested in Recyc’elit – a Lyon-based technology provider said to have developed a proprietary method for separating out different fibres to offer mills and brands recycled elastane, polyamide and polyester for new applications. A pilot plant is planned for 2025.
According to Franck Vigo – Decathlon’s director of alliances and new business – the company has a responsibility to find solutions for the challenge of textile waste and help these to have an impact in the market.
