Düsseldorf fair announces earlier dates
The earlier date is being marketed as better coordinating with the autumn/winter 2025/26 season’s order cycle.
A significant date change has been advised for the Shoes Düsseldorf exhibition scheduled for the start of 2025. After taking place in early March 2024, the corresponding event in 2025 will open its doors between 2nd and 4th February.
This earlier calendar slot has reportedly been secured in response to the wishes of retailers and manufacturers for an earlier event to better coordinate with the autumn/winter 2025/26 season’s order cycle and provide early insights into future footwear industry trends. The new dates are also said to be a strategic plan to better align with other trade fairs and avoid overlapping with such major events as Micam.
Although the announcement has been greeted with enthusiasm by some footwear producers, the change has also been criticised by a number of smaller suppliers, who are worried that they will not have their collections ready in time.
