ISA TanTec was founded in 1995 and currently has facilities in China, Vietnam and the USA.

Macau-based ISA Next-Gen Materials, which comprises ISA TanTec and its ‘Creation of Sustainable Materials’ (COSM) division – through which it makes sustainable leather and alternative materials – has announced a new partnership with Bangladeshi tannery and footwear producer Apex Footwear.

ISA Next-Gen Materials stated: “We are thrilled to announce the first production order in our Leather Working Group Gold-rated partner tannery Apex Footwear, in Bangladesh. We are proud of our partnership with Apex Footwear to bring our global expertise to Bangladesh and getting closer to our customers.”

ISA TanTec was founded in 1995 and currently has leather making facilities located in China, Vietnam and the USA, which it entered 2015 when the company’s first US tannery was opened in Mississippi. Since Apex Footwear Limited began trading in January 1990, it has become a major player within the Bangladeshi footwear industry.

In its early days, Apex Footwear manufactured products for a number of Japan’s largest retail shoe chains. It then expanded to producing men’s and women’s footwear for some of the biggest brand owners and retailers in both Europe and North America.
