SATRA success at industry accolades

We are very proud to announce that SATRA has not one, but two members of staff recognised in the British Footwear Association’s Footwear50 list.

Footwear50 honours 50 individuals each year across eight categories within the footwear industry. The initiative is widely respected and has been embraced by the whole industry. Individuals are chosen through an industry-wide nomination process and pared down by the BFA board of directors. These nominees therefore represent the most influential and inspiring figures in the sector and comprise both BFA members and non-members.

SATRA’s sustainability services manager Nicola Pichel-Juan is noted in the ‘sustainability’ category. This acknowledges individuals who are seen to be making a real difference in the footwear industry by setting new standards in how sustainability is considered in our sector.

Simon Courtney – SATRA divisional manager for footwear – has received his accolade in the category of ‘footwear supporters’. The individuals named on this list are recognised as providing crucial support and services to companies working in the UK footwear sector, while offering expertise in business, finance, recruitment and other areas.

Footwear50 culminated in a networking reception in London, where the list was officially unveiled. This event brought together industry professionals to honour their peers’ exceptional contributions, making the event a celebrated milestone in the footwear industry calendar. Congratulations Nicola and Simon!
