OrthoLite’s Cirql subsidiary wins sustainability award

Cirql – a Vietnam-based subsidiary of the OrthoLite company – has won the ISPO ‘BrandNew Award’ in the sustainability category for its Cirql Zero innovation. This product is described as an industrially compostable, biodegradable foam for footwear midsoles.

The ISPO ‘BrandNew’ Award was designed to both identify and celebrate innovative and creative newcomer brands operating in the sports and outdoor industry. It is said to showcase cutting-edge brands from around the world which are ‘pushing the boundaries’ of their fields with new materials, technology and sustainable practices. The awards scheme also claims to provide a platform for cutting-edge innovations in materials, product design and digital solutions, thus setting new standards for the future of the sports industry.

“Cirql’s debut at ISPO has been incredible, and we are beyond honoured and proud to win the BrandNew Award in the sustainability category,” said Matt Thwaites, vice president and general manager of Cirql. “Having the opportunity to compete and win at the world’s largest international start-up competition in the sporting goods industry is a testament to the Cirql Zero innovation, our rigorous testing and manufacturing process, and the positive impact Cirql will have on the global footwear industry,” he continued.
