Cole Haan appoints new China distributor

HiMaxx has launched a new premium branded division in China focused on Cole Haan’s products.

Cole Haan – a US-based lifestyle brand and retailer of men’s and women’s footwear and accessories – has announced that an exclusive distribution agreement has been established with Chinese retailer HiMaxx. In conjunction, HiMaxx has launched a new premium branded division focused on Cole Haan’s collection. Established in 1928, Cole Haan now distributes its product range in nearly 100 countries.

“We look forward to expanding our presence in China through new distribution with HiMaxx, a retail leader in the ever-evolving China retail landscape,” said Adrian Santos, senior vice president, international at Cole Haan when commenting on the new arrangement. “China is an exciting and dynamic market that is vital to the growth of the Cole Haan brand. HiMaxx provides the right infrastructure and brand stewardship needed to achieve our long-term plans for the region.”

Since its establishment in 2017, HiMaxx has opened 40 large stores across China from which apparel, footwear and beauty products are sold. It will assume operation of more than 30 existing stores in Hong Kong and mainland China, and reportedly has plans to expand the Cole Haan footprint throughout China. In addition to brand retail, the HiMaxx business scope includes distribution, e-commerce and commercial real estate operations.
