SATRA joins Made in Britain programme

SATRA’s British-made equipment helps companies around the world to ensure that their materials and products meet exacting performance and safety standards.

A century of UK innovation is being recognised. SATRA, a name long associated with world-class testing and research, is delighted to announce its official membership of the Made in Britain organisation. This marks an exciting new chapter in SATRA’s journey and one that highlights more than 100 years of manufacturing excellence, proudly rooted in the UK.

Established in 1919 and headquartered in Northamptonshire, SATRA has earned global respect for designing and building precision laboratory testing machines. These machines, which are made in Kettering, support industries from footwear and fashion to automotive, leather goods and personal protective equipment (PPE).

SATRA’s equipment helps companies in a variety of industries all over the world to ensure that the materials they utilise and their finished products meet exacting performance and safety standards. While the organisation’s impact is global, its engineering and manufacturing have always stayed close to home.

“We’ve been designing and building test equipment in the UK for over a century,” commented SATRA divisional manager for safety product testing, Oliver Chandler. “Joining Made in Britain is a celebration of that heritage and a signal of our ongoing commitment to British manufacturing. It also reflects SATRA’s belief in quality, trust, and innovation, which are values that have defined the organisation since day one.”
