Wolverine Worldwide unveils renovated HQ

The project features 40,000 square feet of renovated space as a new home for the Merrell and Saucony brands.

Wolverine Worldwide (‘WWW’) has completed a major renovation of its global headquarters in Rockford, Michigan, USA. This investment is said to be part of the company’s continued efforts to modernise facilities, centralise core business operations and attract and retain top-tier talent by creating new spaces for innovation and collaboration.

“We believe that to create amazing, thoughtful, trend-right, innovative products and experiences that improve our consumers’ lives and drive growth, we must provide our team members with great environments to work and win together,” said Chris Hufnagel, company president and chief executive.

The centrepiece of the project is a top-to-bottom renovation of 40,000 square feet of space for WWW’s two biggest brands – Merrell and Saucony – the latter having recently moved from Boston.

Originally constructed in 1963 as a footwear factory, the building became office space in the 1990s. It now features floor-to-ceiling windows, 224 individual workstations, dedicated product and marketing rooms for each brand, 31 collaboration and meeting rooms, and state-of-art technology for product design, marketing and global collaboration.

Additional on-site amenities for WWW members of staff include subsidised daycare and an early education centre for children aged six weeks to five years, a fitness centre which offers professionally-run personal training and group classes, four miles of on-campus hiking and nature trails, a subsidised cafeteria and even a dog care facility.
