OrthoLite names Marius Wirtz as new CEO

He is taking over the reins from Glenn Barrett.

US-based insoles specialist OrthoLite has appointed Marius Wirtz as its new chief executive. Company founder Glenn Barrett will step down from the role on July 15^th to become senior advisor at Coats, which acquired OrthoLite in 2025, and will join the executive team of the Coats Group.

Mr Wirtz brings a wealth of global leadership experience in materials and speciality chemicals, with expertise in polyurethane applications in footwear. He has a strong track record of leading international businesses at scale, most recently at Covestro (formerly Bayer MaterialScience), and has worked with some of the world’s leading footwear and sports brands on materials innovation across the value chain.

Based in Hong Kong, Marius Wirtz will report to Pasquale Abruzzese, footwear CEO and Coats Group COO.
