Clarks boosts European growth

British footwear company Clarks has opened a new store at Santangelo Outlet Village in Italy, marking the latest step in the brand’s growth strategy across Europe. Additional Clarks stores have recently opened in Italy, Spain and other European destinations. This forms part of a wider European retail expansion plan, targeting up to 20 new stores this year.

The development comes as Clarks builds on a return to profitability, reportedly supported by stronger cost discipline, improved inventory management and a more competitive pricing strategy. In 2025, it reported operating profit of GBP 66.3 million (USD 89.3 million) and ended the year with no bank debt, which is said to create a platform for reinvestment and growth.
