Bangladeshi laboratory accredited

SATRA has accredited a footwear laboratory in Bangladesh for the first time, after the Technology Centre’s Graham Rowley visited Xin Chang Shoes’ facility in Chittagong. Currently engaged in testing safety shoes, the laboratory is expected to expand its capability to assess general footwear and materials in the near future. Xin Chang joins a number of organisations which have achieved SATRA laboratory accreditation in recent months, and has employed Mr Anken Ge, an experienced footwear technician from China, to supervise the laboratory.
