ispo showcases the latest in sporting goods
A wide range of sporting footwear styles will be on show
The annual ispo exhibition in Munich is one of the leading international events within the sporting goods calendar. A wide range of footwear and apparel will be on show, with a strong emphasis on fashion and trends from various sectors. According to the fair organisers, close to 2,200 exhibitors are expected to present their products and services to over 80,000 delegates from more than 100 countries.
The event has been divided into three main sporting sections:
- ‘Action sports’, which generally involve high speed, extreme heights or distances, or spectacular stunts, and include activities such as aggressive skating, base jumping, BMX, free climbing, free skiing, Motocross, downhill skiing and snowboarding
- ‘Traditional sports’, where products on show are intended for activities geared towards fitness and maintaining an individual’s health, such as Alpine skiing, classic cross-country skiing, fencing, football, golf, racquet sports and horse riding.
- ‘Performance sports’, which require a high degree of physical fitness and strength and include bike racing, climbing, cross-country skating, hiking, track and field sports and rowing.
This four-day event will also feature fashion shows, product presentations, conference sessions and seminars, as well as an award ceremony which is promoted as ‘the barometer of future trends’.
