SATRA members: for your eyes only

There is an impressive amount of valuable information available on the SATRA website – but a proportion of it is reserved just for SATRA members. Have you taken advantage of everything provided there yet? Simply visit www.satra.co.uk, click on the ‘membership’ tab on the top of the page, go to the members’ area and enter your details for full access. Once you have entered the members-only area, you will be able to access the online version of SATRA Bulletin magazine – the flagship publication of the world’s premier footwear testing and research centre – and search for answers to your specific questions from several hundred archived features. With a powerful search capability at your fingertips, SATRA Bulletin online can be used to investigate solutions to particular production problems, read news on legal updates and gain an insight into the latest footwear research and development.

In this members-only area, you can also open current and past issues of the Chinese-language SATRA Technical Brief, which is produced four times a year for distribution in the Far East. Another provision just for members is the English-language Modern Footwear Technology. This is a special publication which brings together footwear-related technical articles on a specific subject, and allows you to review highly relevant information with just a few clicks of your computer mouse.

Test methods and standards are key to ensuring that product performance is measured accurately and consistently. Your easy access from the members-only area to SATRA’s test methods catalogue provides a comprehensive listing of several hundred numbered test methods. This will enable you to identify a particular procedure by a number of criteria, in order to readily establish the test methods that are applicable to a particular item.

Another provision for members in this area is full access to the popular SATRA Spotlight articles, which work as an instant resource for manufacturers, sourcing companies and retailers looking to bring product to market, and provide essential information on European and international legislation, technical research, product testing to standards, due diligence and supply chain efficiency. In addition, you will be able to open a listing of forthcoming fairs and exhibitions, learn more about SATRA’s in-depth footwear market information and download membership logos for use on your website, advertisements or company stationery.
