Kangnai launches new brand image
In January 2012, Kangnai announced its latest concept – bespoke shoes for men – with a product launch at its Wenzhou store followed by a presentation, fashion show and dinner. The company has a philosophy for its new product: ‘enjoy your life, enjoy your every step – in comfort’, and describes its shoes as ‘handmade, high-quality footwear in modern English styles’.
Established in 1980, the Wenzhou-based Kangnai reportedly employs more than 4,000 members of staff and manufactures around eight million pairs of shoes per year. The company established its first overseas branded store in 2001, and during the past 11 years has opened over 3,000 stores worldwide, including a number in France, Italy, the Netherlands and the USA.
