ZHFlecksteel fights skiving knife counterfeiters
Brazilian footwear component manufacturer Flecksteel is taking steps to beat counterfeiters who are producing fake versions of its skiving knives and selling them to shoemakers around the world. At a number of recent international footwear shows, company staff have discovered exhibitors selling fake skiving knives labelled as having been produced by Flecksteel.

According to a company spokesman, the battle against having inferior products marketed as having been manufactured by Flecksteel is a tough one. Despite taking legal action against companies trying to sell counterfeit products, an increasing number of fake knives are being purchased – even in Brazil.
