For more than 30 years, Sam and Libby Edelman have worked as business partners. They launched the Esprit footwear business in 1983 and the Sam & Libby brand four year later.
Mrs Edelman was a senior fashion editor in the 1970s and early 1980s with magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen and Glamour, after which she became Director of Public Relations at Calvin Klein. After moving to California in 1983, she became President of the Esprit Children’s Division.
