Lectra hires sales director for Italy
Maurizio Sapio’s appointment is the latest in Lectra’s strategy to strengthen its teams around the world.
Maurizio Sapio has been appointed as sales director in Lectra’s Milan office. The Paris-based integrated technology solutions provider chose Mr Sapio as the company strengthens its teams around the world. According to Lectra, this strategy will provide solid support and resources for customers across all markets – and particularly fashion – in order to optimise processes, as well as increase overall quality and performance.
“A large number of our Italian customers are in the fashion industry, and our design, 3-D prototyping and collaborative solutions are perfectly suited to their needs,” remarked said Lectra Chief Executive, Daniel Harari. “In addition, end consumers are demanding an increasing amount of personalisation and variety, and our customers therefore need their processes to evolve accordingly to cope with the multiplicity of models and smaller volumes this implies.”
Mr Sapio has 15 years’ experience in the IT industry – mainly in sales positions – and has worked at Oracle, PeopleSoft and IBM. He holds a degree in IT systems engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.
