Upper pre-forming
Some uppers will require a preliminary shaping operation before the main forming process of lasting.
The term 'upper pre-forming' usually refers specifically to the processes of adding shape to the vamp (forepart) of the footwear by using heat and moisture, together with tension and pressure. It can also sometimes be applied to whole uppers.
