Using footwear bottom stock
In the shoe factory, ‘bottom stock’ comprises the components of the bottom of the shoe.
Components referred to as ‘bottom stock’ can include the outsoles, midsoles, insoles, shanks, heels, top-pieces (often called ‘top lifts’), rands, welts, insole ribs, bottom fillers and, indeed, any other part of the bottom of the shoe.
