Sports footwear for children

Designing and manufacturing suitable sports shoes for children involves far more than simply scaling down footwear made for adults, as this article reveals.

While the colouring and visual appearance of children’s footwear matches that of adult’s footwear, it is not merely a scaled-down version of the larger shoe. Children’s feet are generally of a different shape and proportions to adult’s feet and are continually changing as the child grows.
