New guidelines for water-resistant footwear
Why and how SATRA has recently revised its guideline recommendations for testing water-resistant footwear.
Very few types of outwear can truly be described as ‘waterproof’, but many claim a measure of water resistance. However, whatever promotional description is given at the point of sale – ‘water resistant’, ‘waterproof’ or even ‘water repellent’ – wearers are likely to be disappointed and thereafter complain if their feet get wet.
