Ageing leather to evaluate chromium VI formation

Explaining the importance of testing aged leather for this hazardous substance.
It is estimated that more than 80 per cent of leather is tanned using chromium salts. EN ISO 10195:2021 is an international standard that defines thermal ageing conditions used to assess whether chromium VI is formed in a finished leather.
