SATRA can assess a wide range of physical properties on luggage and leathergoods. Lee Wilson and Mark Southam review a range of tests, looking at material properties such as colour fastness, strength and flexing through to constructional performance including strap and handle durability.

Specialist assessments on larger items of luggage, which can suffer significant stress on handles and components during the rigours of modern day air, land and sea journeys, will also be discussed.
