The SAFT (SATRA Accredited Footwear Technologist) award is an internationally recognised qualification, and is clear evidence that you are a footwear technologist with a proven range of knowledge.

The full SAFT course covers up-to date information in nine modules covering key areas of footwear manufacture. This fall, our US-based course will be covering seven of those modules, including the brand new Sports Footwear module launched this year. Each module is led by a SATRA specialist and covered in detail during two days’ intensive training including comprehensive documentation.

Successful modern manufacturing processes rely on accurate practical information and the ability of staff to understand and apply such information. In a global and competitive marketplace, knowledge and skills are increasingly important. SATRA has designed this member-only training course for all technologists involved in any aspect of footwear production.

The entire course is being scheduled from 30th September to the 17th October 2024. Please check dates carefully if not attending all modules as they are not being delivered sequentially.

Module 1 : Lasts, fitting & comfort. 30th September & 1st October.                                            Module 2 : Materials. 8th & 9th October.                                                                                            Module 3 : Testing. 10th & 11th October.                                                                                            Module 4 : Construction & product design. 2nd & 3rd October.                                                        Module 5 : Risk assessment & quality assurance. 14th & 15th October.                                    Module 7 : Production efficiency, costing & specifications. 16th & 17th October.                        Module 9 : Sports footwear. 4th & 7th October.

The course will be delivered in Portland, Oregon - location to be confirmed.

SAFT course fees are inclusive of lunch and refreshments, and are quoted in British Pounds. All prices shown are excluding VAT.
There is a variable cost per module, depending on how many modules the delegate attends.
1 or 2 modules: GBP 1,250 per module
3 or 4 modules: GBP 1,100 per module
5 to 7 modules: GBP 1,000 per module
