SATRA has organised three special seminars on glove testing, certification and sustainability.
These events will be valuable for protective glove importers, distributors and
retailers, especially those who are new to the industry and would like to
discover more about glove testing and certification.
Day 1: 9th June 2026
Glove testing
- EN 388 (mechanical risks)
- EN 407 (thermal risks) and EN 511 (protection against cold)
- EN ISO 374 series (chemical and microbiological) including the new EN ISO 374-6 hairdresser standard
- Food contact suitability
- Permeation resistance against chemotherapy drugs
- EN 455 medical glove standard including the new EN 455-5 extractable chemical residues test method
- EN ISO 21420 (general performance requirements for protective gloves)
- ISO 18889 (pesticide permeation)
Day 2: 10th June 2026
Glove certification
- PPE glove standards including requirements and glove marking
- PPE regulation and CE-marking process
- Understanding ongoing conformity requirements for CAT III products – modules C2 and D
- What happens when certificates expire?
- Technical file practical exercise
- Timeline for updates to standards and committee process
Day 3: 11th June 2026
Glove sustainability
- Organisational carbon footprint
- Product lifecycle assessment
- Understanding and reducing environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle
- A detailed review of the sustainable material options
- Current obligations under sustainability-related legislation
- Testing and verifying the sustainability credentials of a product
