Durotech MDS range of durometers

Hampden Test Equipment was established in 1962 and quickly became a leading supplier of rubber and plastic test instrumentation for the global rubber and plastics industries.

Hampden manufactured and supplied the Durotech MDS range of durometers. These durometers had a unique modular durometer system (MDS) which separated the displacement measurement and display element from a module containing the indentor and spring.

In 2001, Hampden was acquired by SATRA Technology Centre.

The Hampden brand is no longer used on test equipment, however, SATRA continues to develop, manufacture and supply the Durotech MDS range of durometers.
