Test Method: SATRA TM148
Resistance of finish films on upper leather to peeling and delamination
December 2021
SCOPE
This method is intended to qualitatively determine the resistance of a leather finish film or coating to peeling and delamination. The method is applicable to all coated leathers and heavily finished leathers.
PRINCIPLE
The ends of prepared test strips are wetted to initiate peeling of the finish film or coating. Whether or not the film can be peeled away from the underlying leather substrate in the wet and then the dry area of the strip is then determined.
