Density of leather, leatherboard and insole materials

SCOPE
This method is intended to determine the density of a material. The method is mainly applicable to leather and fibreboard materials used in footwear construction but can be used with any type of semi-rigid sheet material.
PRINCIPLE
The dimensions of a test specimen are measured and its volume calculated. The mass of the test specimen is then measured and the average density determined.
