Luggage - puncture resistance

SCOPE
This test method is intended to determine the force required to drive a hardened steel nail through the body of an item of luggage, to assess its puncture resistance. The method is applicable to all luggage.
PRINCIPLE
A blunt ended steel nail of specified dimensions is forced through a test specimen cut from the luggage and the force required is recorded.
